Our role: Strategy / Print Design

As an integrated oil company, Petro-Canada offers investors greater stability and opportunity than companies that focus on pure upstream or downstream operations. In their 1997 annual report, we celebrated first oil from the Hibernia Platform in the Atlantic. We carried this celebratory mood throughout the report on the company’s operations with oil paintings commissioned to mark the occasion. In the 1998 annual report, we used a pictorial essay of 24 hours in the life of Petro-Canada to show the diversity of geography and activity in the company and to give a fuller picture of the scope of its operations. Using time signatures for each of the photographs gave a tangible chronology to what goes on at Petro-Canada on any given day.
