Herrainco gets WIK*D

In 2015, Herrainco merged with Ion Brand Design in Vancouver. At the same time, asa Casey Hrynkow worked with Ion and others, she began building up WIK*D Design Thinking for Social Change. She is using design thinking tools to help non-designers consider and solve problems in fresh ways.

During this time, Casey completed a master’s degree in Liberal Studies at Simon Fraser University, and her research thesis looked at how we might use design thinking tools to help reduce the stigma around homelessness.

In 2020, after completing her degree, Casey presented her work in a TEDxEmilyCarrU talk. She also gave a talk at CreativeMorningsVAN.
