Island Paper Mills came to us with an exciting project. They were beginning to manufacture a No. 3 grade paper, suitable for magazines and brochures. We named it Luna, expounding on the qualities of the moon and its light. Our first promotion was built around “When the Moon Hits Your Eye,” and it became everything pizza from food preparation to eating in pizza parlours. The “Pizza Book” became a perfect promo tool as the paper reps visited specifiers with a ghetto blaster playing “When the Moon Hits Your Eye” and bringing several large pizzas for the clients!
This character was generated "old-school" with the talents of an excellent makeup artist.
Island Paper Mills' first foray into making coated paper, Luna allowed us to play with all things moon-related, including, "When the Moon Hits Your Eye". This book demonstrated a plethora of printing techniques.
Of course, the Pizza Book same packaged in a custom pizza box!
We were able to hire great talent from photographers, to illustrators, to writers. Illustrations by the brilliant KAth Boake were a particular hit.
We used the new Luna logo we created to wrap the shipping boxes for the paper.
