Saytk'il'hl Wo'osihl was a book we designed for the Nisga'a Lisims Government, working with our partner, Jim Skipp. It was produced to celebrate the effective date of the Nisga'a Final Agreement in 2000. The Treaty took 113 years to achieve.
For special dignitaries, the books were placed in these custom-made cedar books, nested in cedar shavings.
The books used both Nisga'a and English words. Sigidimnak means “matriarch”. This page describes the origins of Wilps, or families, and their descent from a common mother.
Pts'aan is Totem Pole.
